Another fantastic write-up I needed to see today. Guessing I’m not the only one.
I stole this one from Glennon Doyle Melton’s Instagram account. Having a time of tremendous time of blessing in our home currently, and trying to remember that we got here because we (almost) always tried to do the right thing.
And, now that we’re in the catbird seat, so to speak, we need to keep doing what’s right and kind–not what we’d like to do as a ‘fair’ return on the past treatment of others toward us.
Our environment, and much of our food is increasingly toxic. Certainly, some of these numbers have increased due to more awareness, and better diagnoses.
The spike cannot be explained by the aforementioned alone, however. I was born in the Carter/Reagan Era, and I never even heard of a peanut allergy until I was in high school. If you’re over the age of 40, had you?
I keep my home as non-toxic as possible through buying minimally processed foods and YL products (bath, oral, cleaning products and oils), not because I’m a hippie weirdo, not because I’m a snob, but because my friends and family have almost all been personally affected by one or more of the above issues. We were healthy kids. We took/take care of ourselves reasonably, and perhaps obsessively during our pregnancies.
We can’t control the environment outside of our home, but we can make the environment inside our walls so much healthier. Why do I share YL products? Because I’m concerned, not just for me and mine, but for you and yours. No child should have to suffer.
A posted a fóto of these beauties several days ago, and they’re still going strong! My secret? Purification oil.
I’m constantly amazed what these little bottles of plant juice have done and continue to do for my family. But Purification and Thieves? They rank right at the top, because they are the safest way to keep the our home–furniture, carpet, dishes, laundry, even teeth and flowers (!) so fresh and so clean-clean 😁.
This graphic of ways to get the toxins out of Spring Cleaning this years? Totes amazeballs. And, there’s even more where that comes from…
You realize you’ve spent at least the last 5 years chasing and fighting windmills.
